Either good introduction to the principles of screenwriting.

But why not buy the texts are actually used to teach in the schools of the authors of the film?

"Story" by Robert McKee is probably the most widely used.
"Screenplay" by Syd Field.

Remember that creating a story that is more important than learning to create a story that is to concentrate on what the texts. Then you will learn more about the format is secondary.

I went with script writing for dummies, but also reading some scripts (American Beauty and rear windows are recommended to see good examples) to screenplay work.
