Please do not buy anything. First, the neck, because they are very short. I have friends who had bought one and turned to adjust the neck to 7 times.
Gibson Les Paul:
1. Awsome
2. The smooth neck action
3. Custom Coach, 57 years, I think
4. Head stock awesom
5. Great thick sound completely natural.
6. Gone Forever

Epiphone:
1. Cheap
2. Order, but not for money
3. Ugly
4. Bus Standard
5. Sucks
Fender? ha, yes, if you have a cheap hunk'o'crap. The spirit of the language.
Gibson. better quality, easy to play, humbuckers, lots of light and mahogany. What more could you want?
Les Paul is not good for a beginner. Buying a Fender Stratocaster. I have many people like them and the design is great.
